Merrianne Dean, of The Dean Law Group, PLC, has been recognized for her service to the San Diego Probate Court and Probate Bar along with Gary Jander of Brierton, Jones & Jones, LLP. Judges co-presented engraved plaques to Gary Jander and Merrianne Dean in appreciation of their service to the court in 2012.

They are the only two attorneys who have served the court in every voluntary program the court has implemented, including court appointed attorneys, organizing the training for the CAAs, acting as pro tem judges and acting as members of the Bench Bar Committee.
